Annual Reports

Each year, Cornell’s National Fellowships Advising team publishes an annual report highlighting student engagement, advising activity, and fellowship outcomes across national and international competitions. These reports offer a snapshot of how students, faculty, alumni, and staff come together to support ambitious academic, professional, and public-service goals.

Our annual reports document more than just application numbers. They reflect the breadth of advising work that supports students as they clarify goals, develop compelling narratives, build mentoring relationships, and prepare for highly competitive opportunities. The skills cultivated through the fellowship process—research, writing, critical reflection, and interview preparation—are transferable well beyond fellowships, supporting students’ success in graduate study, careers, and leadership roles.

What you’ll find in each report

Annual reports may include:

  • Advising and engagement data, including student appointments, workshops, and programs
  • Endorsed applicants and fellowship recipients by competition
  • Highlights from information sessions, writing workshops, and community events
  • Faculty and alumni participation in endorsement and interview preparation
  • Profiles of selected fellowship recipients and their academic or professional paths

Together, these reports provide transparency, celebrate student achievement, and illustrate the collective investment of the Cornell community in national fellowships advising.
